Which CPS test duration should I use?
Five seconds is a useful quick baseline. Longer 10, 30, or 60 second tests place more emphasis on consistency, while the one-second test is a short burst. Compare results only when mode, duration, device, and browser are the same.
Does the first click count?
Yes. The first accepted click, tap, or spacebar press starts the timer and counts toward the result. Inputs at or after the exact deadline do not count.
Are touchscreen and mouse CPS results comparable?
Not directly. Touchscreen, mouse, keyboard, browser, and device latency differ, so touch results are labeled Tap speed and should be compared separately.
